Welcome to ST733 – Spatial Statistics!

This course is designed to provide an introduction to fundamental conceptual, computational, and practical methods of spatial data analysis. The first part will introduce the classic geostatistical methods, including

  • Visualization
  • Mean and covariance modeling
  • Parameter estimation
  • Kriging

We will also address methods for more advanced topics including

  • Methods for massive datasets
  • Spectral representation
  • Spatiotemporal and multivatiate spatial data

We will pay special attention to understanding the statistical properties of these methods and developing skills to apply them to real data using R.

For more information, see the course syllabus.
